Blow The Ping Pong | Ice Breaker Activities

ppblowGame Description:

One of the most vigorous but exciting ice breaker activities for youths. Like a soccer game, representatives are supposed to blow a ping pong ball across the opponent team’s goal line while opponent’s representative will have to defend the ball from reaching over their side and  to blow the ball across to opponent’s goal line.

Number of players:

12 – 20

Materials Needed:

2 ping pong balls
Masking tapes to demarcate boundaries and goal line

Noise Level:

Medium

Neutrals:

Game Master who will determine the players and scoring

Preparation:

1. Prepare 2 ping pong balls
2. Use the masking tape to determine the goal line, optional for the perimeters of the arena

How To Play

1. Players will be divided into 2 equal groups, in numbers and sexes
2. Each player is given a unique number from 1 to 10 (dependent on group size, and males should not have same number as females as it would be unfair for them to compete)
3. Game master (GM) places ball in middle
4. GM shouts out a number and the corresponding player from each group have to rush to the middle to start blowing the ball across to the opponent’s goal line
5. Start with 1v1, then 2v2 with 2 ping pong balls for greater excitement
6. Get the spectators to cheer for the teams
